I am absolutely thrilled to share with you my friend Maria Wen Adcock’s first-published children’s book It’s a Chinese New Year, Curious George! Hot off the press, it officially launches tomorrow, January 3, 2023! It is already a #1 release in Children’s Asian & Asian American Books on Amazon.
Psst… you can get your copy here. (Aff. link)
About the book:
There are seven tabs on the right side of the book with Chinese New Year symbols and images. Each tab contains useful information about Chinese New Year’s, which zodiac animal you are, preparing for the celebration, family reunions, lucky envelopes, and much more.
This book is a great introduction to the Chinese New Year with one of the most famous characters of all Curious George. It is an easy read for your advanced readers and just perfect for your little ones who don’t know how to read yet. A beautiful illustration appears on each page and goes with a short paragraph that rhymes. This beautiful celebration of Chinese culture has been beautifully explained by Maria in simple words that children will love!
With Chinese New Year literally around the corner, it officially begins on January 22, 2023, it is a good time to learn about this celebration. I highly recommend It’s a Chinese New Year, Curious George because it would be perfect to use during a Cultural Playdate: “Celebrating 中國新年 (Chinese New Year)” or Chinese New Year Kid’s Culture Party
Since this is also the year of the rabbit here’s a free coloring page for you to download. Or click simply click on the image below.
Congrats Maria on your newly published book!
